THIS IS ME

I grew up in Northern California. I loved Star Wars and skateboarding. At an early age I started taking pictures and filming the world around me. I had a mentor who reinforced my passion and gave me an incredible opportunity to make some seminal skateboard videos with him in San Diego for his company Plan B. After, I went to Emerson College to study film and worked for Adobe Systems helping to develop features and test Adobe Premiere. Around the same time, I started to extensively document and photograph the Hieroglyphics Crew from Oakland. This relationship culminated in directing music videos for them and shooting their album art.

I juggled my passion for storytelling and expertise with post-production being a workflow expert/consultant for Adobe Systems. My first feature documentary film, Waiting for Lightning premiered at SXSW in 2012 and was released by Samuel Goldwyn films. I made the film during my tenure as a partner at Bandito Brothers building and running their post facility while developing my directing career.

In 2016, I signed with The Reserve Label which has been my home ever since. The joy in my work is often about the people and the process; accessing my own complete presence is essential to understand and feel what’s required to create resonant work. For me – it is always about making a connection, which is inevitably felt by the audience in the results. Happily married with two kids, I live in LA, however I still root for my Bay Area sports teams.

There is so much more to come.
